Reason why Ops Begging in #Dubai is such a pain to deal with

Well guys, and gals,

and whosoever else doesn't fit into those two descriptions,

I am on IRC chat and in #Dubai to have fun.

Lately, it isn't fun anymore.

Every day, for hours on end, certain chatters message me repeatedly in private and  ask me why they aren't OPs in #Dubai. They want to know why they don't deserve to be Ops, who said they shouldn't be Ops, and how dare they are not made OPs.

I send them to the #Dubai Rules page, (200 words rules, 570 words explanations), and to our OPs guidelines Web Page. In 2 minutes they are back claiming to know the Channel Rules, and that they have read and understood the over 1,400 words that describe getting and being an OP in detail. And then back we go again to endless badgering for Ops.

Then there are those who are already OPs and want their access levels raised. Why do I have "this" access level, and why does he have "that" level and I don't.

They insinuate racial discrimination,

They say that there is favouritism,

They say not giving them OPs is directly insulting them,

They take it as a personal insult to their integrity,

They use the words "unfair" and sometimes swear,

They threaten personal attack,

They threaten to attack the channel

And all in all they make my life miserable.

You all are the chatters in #Dubai, and the OPs in #Dubai are for you.

Almost all the main regulars are OPs, and it is often said that #Dubai is one of the easiest places to be an Ops for an established Middle East channel.

This is something I strongly believe in. If a person is nice, sensible, and chats often in #Dubai, and can behave like an OPs should, and are around long enough, then they are welcome to be OPs in the channel. Not because the channel needs so many OPs, but because it is fun to belong.

The following are the main chatters who badger endlessly or periodically, or have cause problems because of OPs issues.

" UAE_BoSsS " who actually spends most of his time now on Dalnet. His badgering and goings on produce logs so long I don't even want to reproduce them. He had a nasty fight with some other OPs on #Dubai, and his behaviour on the channel was unacceptable. His OPs was removed. He left the channel saying he want OPs to return.

" |Britain| " who was responsible for the endless floods and cursing in the channel, has now recruited more people in his crusade.

" Burnyyy " who is |Britain|'s friend and pretended to be against |Britain| but has now shown his true intentions.

Cool` who masqueraded as Blazit and pretended to be a girl for many months, and has enticed a bunch of #Dubai regulars to his non-descript channel #Bahria by promising and giving them OPs.

^Po|ice^ who on and off every day messages, but quite nicely actually.

^Killer^ who went on and on asking to be raised back to 400 even though he is so seldom in the channel anymore. ^Killer^ brought Red-Devil, |Britain| , and Burnyyy into #Dubai as senior OPs, and moved them up to 400 even though they were really not known to anyone else in the channel.

Dialmenot who occasionally broaches the subject.

NY-152 who lately has backed off asking anymore.
